Welcome to HPC for Energy.

To get you started, here’s a quick overview of some of the site’s features and how to use them:

Featured Articles: This section highlights some of the most-interesting news stories, interviews and other HPC articles. It will also point you to earlier stories you may have missed. This section can be found under the Resources tab.

HPC Blog: A dynamic online resource presenting the latest news and analysis on High-Performance Computing.

Sector Specialists: Biographies of some of the top subject-matter experts in the HPC field. The specialists’ biographies can be found under the HPC Road Map tab.

Success Stories: This is where we take a look at some of the companies that have utilized high-performance computing to improve efficiency and lower costs. This section can be found under the HPC Community tab.

Incubator: In October 2011, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory announced a call-for-proposals to participate in the hpc4energy incubator pilot program. The program establishes no-cost partnerships with five energy companies (out of 29 applicants) to demonstrate the benefits of incorporating HPC modeling and simulation into technology development. On this page, you can learn about the incubator and how it could help your company. The first step is clicking the “Engage an Expert” button and starting a conversation with one of our lab representatives.

Calendar of Events: Details on upcoming conference, forums and other events in the HPC community. The calendar can be found under the Resources tab.

About The Blog

The HPC Blog is a dynamic online resource presenting the latest news and analysis on High-Performance Computing (HPC). By testing a new concept or product in virtual space, HPC modeling and simulation can dramatically reduce the time and physical effort necessary to bring a product to market. It shortens the development window, giving American companies an edge in an increasingly competitive global marketplace.
